Motivation comes from within

Can you be motivated by another person? An interesting topic...

I had this debate with someone recently and came to the conclusion that you can really only be inspired by other individuals or groups of people - to be motivated, you have to seek this from within yourself and ultimately no one person can motivate you to do something differently unless you want really want to.

It's all up to you!

The above quote by Henry Ford encapsulates this thinking and provides a new dimension as well. Not only does motivation come from within, but unless you are committed to think that you can achieve a goal, objective or target you are unlikely to succeed in doing so.

Equally, the negativity in thinking that you can’t achieve that same target, objective or goal will most certainly have a massive impact on your ability to succeed.

Success comes in different form factors and will be completely different for each and every one of us, whether achieved individually or as part of a team.

The key message here is, to be motivated you must have the hunger and eagerness to action and to achieve, whether the target is tiny or completely outlandish – only you can create the boundaries and only you can decide if and how you achieve it...

Food for thought!
